Winter/Spring Semester Course - Mash-ups: An adventure in mixed media
This 9 lesson course for students ages 6 and up will cover a variety of mediums, combined to create unique artworks.
Cost: $395 per student ($365 for each sibling) includes all supplies.

February: We'll start off the semester with a lesson on composition and balance. Older students will combine the art of woodburning and painting and optional items such as tissue, gold leaf and even tea to create two unique projects...a small item that can be used as a key chain or pendant, and a plaque that can be displayed.
March: We'll continue our lessons with a mosaic project using colorful acrylic skins (recycled acrylic paint) and gel in painted wooden frames. Lessons will also include some color theory and a brief history lesson on mosaics.

February: Younger students will learn about composition and balance as they create 3 dimensional collages using paint and foam based on favorite activities or memories. Lots of tactile and creative fun!
April/May: We'll end the semester with a lesson combinging watercolor with the paper art of quilling. Students will learn about perspective, paper rolling techniques and watercolor techniques to create a unique, multi layered artwork.
As always, we'll finish the semester with a party to celebrate the kids' hard work! |
