Creative Sketching for kids ages 10 and up!
Students will fill a sketchbook using creative prompts, art games, observation and imagination. Unlike technical drawing, sketching requires an artist to draw quickly and loose, focusing on observation and memory more than completing a polished artwork. Important skills for any artist! Lessons will include tips on composition, capturing movement, how to capture changing lighting (values) and prominent details of a subject. Great class for beginning students who want a foundation to build their drawing skills on, as well as experienced artists who want some practice in a more loose form of drawing.
