"Say it with Art" - spring semester course - In Person
In this 8 session course, students will use a variety of mediums to explore ways that art is used to express and communicate. All of my classes include lessons in foundational art techniques and principles, art history and appreciation in a structured, positive, creative learning environment.
*Weekly one hour sessions in my home/studio in south Anchorage
*All supplies included
*Classes for kids ages 6 and up
*Class size limited to 7 students
Cost: $395 per student ($355 for each sibling)
TO REGISTER:
Choose the day/time that works best for you. *Choose your first choice, as well as one or more alternate times. Classes may be canceled or combined if less than 4 students register.
Ages 6-10:
Mondays 4:00- 5:00, Tuesdays 10:00 - 11:00 , Mondays 5:15 - 6:15
Ages 10 and up:
Tuesdays 4:00- 5:00 (mixed age class for ages 8-13) , Thursdays 2:00 - 3:00 (mixed age class for ages 8-13)

Jr. High/ High School: Students are welcome to attend the "Say it with Art" classes for ages 11 and up, or a "Creative Sketching" class just for their age group or register for both and save 10%.

Say it with Opposites - Students will use cut paper and color to create unique Notan creations (a Japanese term meaning "light/dark harmony/balance").
Say it with Clay - In this two part lesson, students will learn polymer clay techniques to create patterned Easter eggs and other objects. A student favorite!
Say it with Resist- Students will use a variety of materials including tape, glue, crayon and even bleach to create unique artworks as they explore resist techniques. A great project for all skill levels..
