2025 Spring Art Class Schedule for Jr. High and High Schoolers (ages 12 and up)

Drawing Portraits
​This semester, students will interview someone of their choosing, and tell a brief story about them in the form of a portrait. Students will learn the basics of drawing faces, and will have freedom to choose what drawing medium they prefer to complete a portrait. 
Jr. High and High School students are welcome to register for any of my regular courses (see the "fall classes" link under "classes"), or my Jr. High/ HS class, or save 10% when they register for both.

*All skill levels welcome! 
*$395 per student includes all supplies,  printed lesson plans and reference materials, video tutorials and online group sessions ($355 if also registered for "World Art" classes).
*I am a vendor with most charter schools.
*Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:00 pm - (currently full, but waiting list available)
Dates of sessions (subject to change): 1/22, 1/29, *no class 2/5, *no class 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5, *no class 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2
Students in my high school class will be encouraged  and taught to:
*Plan a project from idea stage to completion
*Take part in art critiques, learning how to apply observation and critical thinking skills
*Be creative.  Students will be given freedom to tailor their projects to their interests and abilities. 
*Demonstrate an understanding of the foundational elements and principles of art.
