2024/2025 Art Class Schedule for Jr. High and High Schoolers (ages 12 and up)

Drawing intensive
​Drawing is a fundamental art skill, but true drawing ability comes from learning to observe. In this course, students will learn to draw more realistically by learning  important foundations such as value, texture, and composition through observation techniques. They will choose a subject to work on throughout the semester, planning a composition, and using photo references.  *This course will require short homework assignments to be practiced at home during the week. 
Jr. High and High School students are welcome to register for any of my regular courses (see the "fall classes" link under "classes"), or my Jr. High/ HS class, or save 10%
​when they register for both.
*All skill levels welcome! 
*$395 per student includes all supplies,  printed lesson plans and reference materials, video tutorials and online group sessions ($355 if also registered for "World Art" classes).
*I am a vendor with most charter schools.
*Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Dates of sessions (subject to change): 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6,  *No class 11/13 - 11/27,  12/4, 12/11
Students in my high school class will be encouraged  and taught to:
*Plan a project from idea stage to completion
*Take part in art critiques, learning how to apply observation and critical thinking skills
*Be creative.  Students will be given freedom to tailor their projects to their interests and abilities. 
*Demonstrate an understanding of the foundational elements and principles of art.
