Fall 2026 Art Class Schedule for Jr. High and High Schoolers (ages 12 and up).
Mixed Media Drawing - $320
​Explore the creative possibilities of combining pen, watercolor, and colored pencils in this 7 week studio course. Each lesson will focus on a different foundational skill such as achieving balance and contrast in a composition, actual vs. implied line, texture, perspective and optical illusions, value (dark and light), and positive and negative space, as they combine  realistic elements with abstract to form a truly original final artwork. 

*Students registered for both the semester "Art on Display" course and the "Mixed Media Drawing" class will save 10%.  
*All Skill levels welcome!
*Sketchbook and all supplies included (students will get to keep supplies)
Class Schedule: Choose one ** If either time will work , please let me know.  Classes may be cancelled or combined if less than 4 students register.)

September 23, September 30 (No classes October 7-28), November 4, November 11, November 18 (No class November 25),  December 2 December 9

Students in my high school class will be encouraged  and taught to:
*Plan a project from idea stage to completion
*Take part in art critiques, learning how to apply observation and critical thinking skills
*Be creative.  Students will be given freedom to tailor their projects to their interests and abilities. 
*Demonstrate an understanding of the foundational elements and principles of art.
